Homebrew uninstall
In my case, my brew had no permission to delete files in directories named above, an error log shout again. Now you are recommended to run brew link command to delete the original node-related files and overwrite new files. Warning: You have unlinked kegs in your Cellar Leaving kegs unlinked can lead to build-trouble and cause brews that depend on those kegs to fail to run properly once built. In case that you missed clearing any node-related file before, such error log might pop up : ……………………………………. Next we check out if it is successfully installed. This command lists all current packages managed by brew. You may want to check if node is successfully fetched. One single command line helps installing node. You may also cd to the path listed above and use rm/rmdir respectively. The command line looks like this : $sudo rm -rf If that’s a directory, remove the directory. (Or more) /usr/local/lib ….node (node_modules) /usr/local/include ….node /usr/local/bin ….node /usr/local/lib/dtrace/ ….node.d /usr/local/share/doc/ ….node /usr/local/share/systemtap/tapset/ ….node.stp Deleting Node Filesįor people downloading node through official site, like me, it is unavoidable to manually delete node file lying within directories listed below. Learning that brew support node updating and version shifting with command line tools, I decided to install node with homebrew.
